printers

So finally the print refresh is here, emails have gone out and I was trying to let people in our row know that it was happening.  Becky comes out of her office yelling that no one told her, she received no communication, no one asked her about the amount of stuff she prints and how she needed larger paper. I tried to calm her down and said we would get you setup first.  That didn't make her happy. She said this was project management 101 and I should have been telling people.  I told her it wasn't my project but I did tell people in our department.  She told me me AS A LEADER UNDER ANDY, I should have brought it at the end of Andy's leadership meeting and it was my fault I didn't do that.  I told her that emails were sent out from Vin.  But she was pissed. Kevin came over to help her too.  But she was going off on him about being part of this project and not telling her, not communicating.  I told her our portion of the project was just disposal.  She asked but you knew about this?  I said yes.  She replied then as a manager, YOU should have brought it up.  I apologized to her and said next time, I will make sure you know ahead of time. Rebecca came over to me and said WOW, Becky is always like that.  She is just horrible.  I told her that well, I understand her concerns but I am not the one to be yelling at and neither is Kevin.. This went on for a few days.  I made sure she was the first to install the print drivers and test.  She also kept telling me that she prints the large papers, if these do not do that, she wants to know who to talk to.  I told her Peter Newmeyer was the PM and she needed to talk to him.  BUT that they look at the printing reports from all the old printers and knew who was printing what and on what printers.  She was upset the printer moved too.  I have seen her irate before but never this bad. Everytime I would talk to her she would berate me as a manager for not telling her and not saying anything to "andy's organization".  I said it wasn't my job to do that and it was sent out by vin.  I really hope she calms down and realizes this is a good thing.  Note to self...any future change, tell her first no matter what.
